Chief Creative Officer, Global Centre of Creative Strategy, H+K Strategies London
Simon is responsible for quality of the strategic and creative output of the agency. Together with the CEO, Simon leads the transformation of H+K London into the ‘Global Centre of Creative Strategy’ (GCCS) for our clients and network.
Through a program of cultural and business change the GCCS has introduced a new positioning and processes along with the development of new specialisms and skills – after prototyping in London many of these have now been adopted across the network. In 2017 after 3 years into the transformation London was awarded the Holmes Report UK Agency of the Year and in 2016 and 2018 the EMEA region won Pan-EMEA Consultancy of the Year.
A part of the transformation Simon has also led an innovation initiative called Skunkworks. Part of that program was creation of the ‘H+K Shanghai Addition’; a bridge for Chinese clients between China and the rest of the H+K network. Simon currently spend around 1 week in 6 in China working with Chinese clients such as Huawei, Wanda, Envision, Sunning, Honor and Ofo.
Prior to joining H+K Simon has held multiple creative leadership positions, including roles as Creative Director + Global Brand Director at communications agency Exposure, ECD at Good Relations and Design Director at Imagination. He is also a well-renowned and respected industry authority, speaking and serving as judge at the Cannes Lions and as President on D&AD jury. In 2018 Simon was ranked one of the top 10 UK creative directors in by PR Week.
Simon is a qualified and awarded architect.
